What
is "Programme"?
IIR organizes two programmes
every year - the Summer Programme
and the Spring Programme
- based on its motto
to establish a firm
friendshipand to
achieve mutual understanding with foreign students.
The purpose of these programmes
is to introduce Japan to the exchange students from various points of view. In order to achieve this
goal, we set up theme for each day; Japanese tradition, politics
& economy, sightseeing, etc. The
Programme also includes company visiting,
experiences of traditional arts and crafts, international cooking, short
trips, parties, and lots more.
The programme adopts a Host Family system, which enables the exchange students
to experience life as a member of a Japanese family.
I.I.R., being a non-profit organisation of the Keio University Student
Body, cannot afford financial aid for the host families. Therefore, it
is the kindness of the families voluntarily willing to host
the students, which enables the exchange students participating in this programme to see
Japan from another aspect.
Along with the Host Family system, we
also adopt the Contact Person system(CP). Each exchange student will
have their own contact persons, who will help
them as a guide and adviser and to make smooth communication with host families,
other exchange students and I.I.R. members.ソス@
The programmes of I.I.R. are
basically operated by university students, for anyone who is interested. It should be
noted that, however, the programme is greatly based on the support of host families,
companies, public offices and people concerned to widen the circle
of communication and to enrich the contents of the programme. I.I.R. members
will proudly take charge of all daily activities and hope to continue as
well as develop this great opportunity of international communication in future.
