visa card@NameFSeyhan City: SentF2005/02/04(Fri) 00:13 No.20
Hallo friends. Looking forward to meet you alI would like to know what is the best way of bringing pocket money to Japan. Is Visa card accepted most places?

About the visa card@haruna City: - 2005/02/05(Sat) 01:24 No.21

Hi, Seyhan.Thanks for writing in!!

Though, the visa card is acceptable at most places, for example when buying some of electronic things.
I advise you bring cash(money which could be changed into). The reason is that, when we ask you to pay money for the optional drinkings, we will have you pay the cash money,it is a bit difficult if you have no cash to pay for the optional program
Oh, there is also city banks, so you can get money out of the machine if you have the city bank card.
For more questions and comments, mail Haruna!!

Thank you Haruna.
What do you mean by City bank card.. is it normal visa card ?

Re: visa card@Yago City: - 2005/02/06(Sun) 02:29 No.24

The question I have is: should I change money in Spain and bring yen with me, or should I take euros to Japan and change them there into yen?

>Seyhan
If you money in the city bank, you can take out the money from the bank. It's not a visa card but a cash card and a Credit card.Check the URL below for more information!!
CITY BANK(http://www.citibank.co.jp/en/index.html)

>Yago
I think you rather bring your euros and change them in Japan.Students who had visited us usually take the latter way.(But I also can say it depends on the money rate as you have written.)
You can check here.(Though this is all in JAPANESE..)

Oh, what I am saying...
Visa card=(equals)Credit card
As same as other banks, City bank has both Cash card and normal Visa Card.

If you have questions, mailing me is much faster than writing in here but I guess this way, we can share worries so it be a cooperative way to know more about Japan and ourselves.
Please write in!!

6days to go until the program starts!
I wonder how it is gonna turn out to be.
See yea!

Hi!
ILve just read your answer to YagoLs message and I just wanted you to help me! Could you give me please some ideas about the present we have to bring to the class... Only to have an example...
Thank you very much!
Karine

Re: toys, presents...@Yago City: - 2005/02/06(Sun) 02:32 No.25

I already have mines ^^

Pasate por las ramblas y compra cualquier parida típica que creas que les pueda hacer gracia (es decir, cualquiera cosa)

Re: toys, presents...@haruna City: - 2005/02/07(Mon) 11:32 No.26

I'm sorry I am repling to you today, Karine.
I should have checked this page more often..

I could not understand what Yago had replied to you but,
these presents could be anything..
examples are,,,Posters, puzzles, for the whole class.
Or if you don't have any ideas what to give for them, you can bring something to show them(not giving but just for a display).
Please share us a bit of your culture or your interests.
No presents is also fine;)

thanks for your advice@haruna City: - 2005/01/30(Sun) 17:38 No.18

I think there was a miss understanding.
We would wish you to bring some kind of a souvenier(not limited to toys).Something to be given to the class, not to each of the students...

Two more things..
My name is written t..

I think writing these comments in English will also help other exchange students think of your opinions so I would like to ask you to write in the language which everyone would understand, from next time.
Thanks!!
