Chief: Mayuko Sonoda
In the party, we'll have a greeting and introduce our own countries to
each other. We will show you Japanese Karate. Also, please prepare your
presentations on your countries.

Sightseeing
Day Feb 14th (Mon)
Chief: Chiari Kono
In the morning, we’re going to go sightseeing in Kamakura and
watch the temples and the great Buddha.In the afternoon,
we’ll have a lunch and play games in Enoshima island .We have
to walk on foot all day, so don’t forget to bring your
sneakers!

and Traditional Day

First, we’ll go to Ueno to visit a museum and a shrine.
Afterwards, we will hold a custom tea ceremony. At the ceremony, we'd
like you to give us a brief presentation about your thoughts on
Japanese tradition and culture. Please be looking forward to enjoy the
day!

Science
and Technology Day
Feb 16th (Wed)
Chief: Takafumi Koishi
We're going to visit "Canon" for the company visit. Canon Inc. has
High-Technology especially on a digital camera, a printer,etc. We'll
have a presentation about the new technology. We'll also go to the
museum about science and technology in Odaiba(is very famous place in
Tokyo). Let's enjoy the dayI

Japanese
Entertainment Day Feb
17th (Thur)
Chief: Megumi Hayakawa
We will go to the sumo stable. There, we’ll watch the sumo
wrestlers’ match, actually wrestle with sumo
wrestler’s loincloth on, and eat
“Chanko-nabe”, Japanese original stew-like dish
traditionally eaten by sumo wrestlers. I'm really sorry to say but no
girls are allowed to enter the sumo ring on account of traditionD Boys
are better to have themself prepared to wrestle with real. It is best
for boys to wear something that is suitable for sports and also for
girls to bring apron.

Valentines
Day Feb 18th (Fri)

Do you know St. Valentine's Day?
I mean the JAPANESE one, for Love&Sweets.
We're making confectionery of chocolate and having dates! (Of course,
imitational dates.)
I think it is enjoyable to have it in the Japanese way.

We are going to have a day with the elementry school students. Teaching
languages and playing games.

We’re going to enjoy sightseeing and have cultural

Politics Day Feb 24th

Chief: Michiko Kogure
We are going to visit JICA, Tokyo International Center. There, we are
going to have a lecture about Japanese international cooperation
activities by JICA staff and have discussions about some international
issues concerned with Japan.

Culture Day Feb 25th
(Fri)

It is mainly a cooking day. The exchange students are going to cook
their countries meals. After lunch, we’re going to introduce
you Japanese traditional games. Possibly some exchange students may
perform something F) Let's play it together !!

Farewell

The end of Spring program 2005. We're going to have a greeting from the
exchange students and the host families. And we will show slides and
